Load Sensing Panels for Accurate Monitoring & Smart Electrical Control
At Blandon Systems, we design and manufacture high-performance load sensing panels for industrial, commercial, and infrastructure applications across the UK.
Load sensing panels play an essential role in modern electrical systems. By continuously monitoring current, voltage, and load behaviour, these panels detect faults, overloads, load imbalances, and inefficiencies before they become operational problems.
These are generally used on smaller sized generating sets, up to around 18 – 20 KVA and configured for single phase operation. The typical size would be around 10kVA. This size is more than sufficient to run a modern house hold consisting of washing machines, televisions, microwaves etc.
Typical applications are remote outlying buildings away from the mains network, for example hill farms and isolated properties.
The load sensing panel includes a load sensing control module. This continually monitors the connected load waiting for an appliance to be switched on. Once an item is switched on the load sense panel will control the starting of the generator by enabling the pre-heat, fuel and starter control relay outputs. Whilst the generator is running the load sense panel will monitor the engine and alternator, safely stopping the generator should a fault condition occur.
When all appliance are switched off the load sense panel will stop the generator after a cool down period.
With decades of experience in electrical panel manufacture, our team ensures every unit is built to the highest standards. All panels undergo rigorous testing, including insulation resistance tests, functional verification, and load simulation to guarantee accurate and dependable performance. Our UK-based manufacturing facility allows us to deliver fast turnaround times, competitive pricing, and complete design flexibility for OEMs, contractors, and end users.
If you are looking for durable, accurate, and professionally engineered load sensing panels, we are ready to support your project from concept through to installation.
